A Guide on Maintaining A Hygienic Environment at Home


The outbreak of COVID-19 on the global level has pushed the entire humanity into their homes. While the developing nations fret about their downgrading economy and stark rise in the number of cases every passing day, developing nations like India, China, and parts of North and East Africa are making sure to remain indoors and save maximum citizens from getting infected at any cost.
While younger generation can organically fight this virus due to their elevated immunity level, it is the older generation which is at high-risk. Unfortunately, just sitting at home does not guarantee protection either if you aren’t maintaining proper hygiene. The virus is highly contagious and spreads like wildfire with the slightest of human interaction.

In such situation, what is needed is meticulously following the precautions presented by experts. Here are some of them. Have a close look.

Isolate the elders at home

Desperate times need desperate measures and this is one of them. While isolating the adults at home may come across quite inhuman, it is essential to keep yours and the health of your children intact. Always interact with them by wearing a mask and gloves. Get them eco bath wipes whenever they go to the bathroom and after finishing their meals. This is extremely essential for maintaining hygiene at home.

Sanitize the metals

Besides sanitizing your hands and mobile phone, it is extremely essential you sanitize all the metals at home. COVID-19 virus easily settles down on metals and can stay there for good 2-3 days. Hence. Make sure you sanitize all the metals present in your house.

Spray the veggies with lukewarm saline water

Even during self-isolation, there is one thing that we can’t live without and that is—food. But in order to get the groceries you have to go outside and get food essentials at home. While we ardently believe that you would follow all the rules of social distancing and sanitizing while buying stuff; it is essential as soon as you reach home, you wash all the vegetables and fruits with lukewarm saline water so that all the possible germs and microbes get killed. Wipe them with bath wipes for adults as an extended precaution.

Pay attention to your mental hygiene as well  

Human beings are social creatures. We can’t stay more than 72 hours without proper human interaction and here, we are living in times where our mental capabilities are challenged. Imbibing Yoga and meditation to your daily routine can help you wipe off mental stress and a feeling of loneliness that you have acquired during this time. Know this for a fact that just like all bad times, this too shall pass.
